Celtic Songs with Sarah

Everyone had the chance to practise their singing ability with Sarah who lead each group through typical Celtic ballads. As a grand finale Sarah lead the whole group in a round by the camp fire.

Sports with Lorcan and Cal

Lorcan and Cal gave an explanation on the popular Irish sport Hurling and also played a game of the typical British sport of Rounders.

Crafts with Megan and Christy

The teachers were able to try their hands at making the St Bridget’s cross whilst Meg and Christy took them through the history behind this old Irish craft.

Dramatising Celtic Legends with Stephen

Each group of teachers were given the chance to dramatise ancient Celtic legends which were performed later that evening before the Campfire.

Celtic Dancing with Martin and Abbey

Martin and Abbey lead the teachers through 2 typical Irish dances, Siege of Ennis and The Walls of Limerick. Everyone had fun practising the dances in this energetic Celtic activity.
